Honors Thesis: In my senior year at UT Austin, I wrote an honors thesis on Mott and charge-transfer insulators in transition metal dichalcogenide (TMD) homobilayers. We identified a phase transition between the Mott insulator and charge-transfer insulator after fixing the twist angle of the two layers of TMD.
